Jackson, MS – A serious two-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 near Gallatin Street in Jackson, Mississippi, left four people injured on the night of October 10, 2025. One passenger was ejected from a vehicle during the collision and rushed to a local hospital.
Crash Details
Authorities said a Mercury Marquis was traveling westbound on I-20 when it struck an object in the road. The driver then lost control of the vehicle, which collided with a railing before veering back toward oncoming traffic.
Moments later, the Mercury Marquis was struck by a Chevrolet Impala, causing a violent impact. During the collision, a passenger in the Mercury Marquis was thrown from the car.
Injuries Reported
The ejected passenger was transported to a local hospital, and their current condition remains unknown. The driver of the Mercury Marquis suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.
Meanwhile, the two passengers inside the Chevrolet Impala sustained minor injuries. As per WLBT, they were treated at the scene

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, including what the initial object in the roadway may have been. Traffic along I-20 was temporarily slowed while emergency crews cleared the scene.
