Plattsburgh, NY — A New York man has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly shooting his wife and leaving her body miles away, police said.
Victim and Suspect Identified
Chloe Henry, 25, was last seen with her 33-year-old husband, Keith Henry, before being reported missing on Sunday, according to New York State Police. The couple was seen together in Plattsburgh, NY. Family members told authorities they had not heard from Chloe in over 36 hours, which they described as “[h]ighly unusual for her.”
Discovery of Body
Two days later, Chloe Henry’s body was discovered on Ridge Road in Chazy, New York, near the Lake Alice Wildlife Management Area. An autopsy conducted at Glens Falls Hospital by Forensic Pathologist Dr. Michael Sikirica confirmed that she died of gunshot wounds to the head and back. The death was officially ruled a homicide.
Alleged Crime Details
According to police, Keith Henry allegedly shot Chloe Henry while the couple was in his car in Peru, New York, approximately 26 miles from where her body was later found in Chazy. Police have not released information regarding a possible motive for the alleged killing.
Arrest and Charges
Keith Henry was arrested by New York State Police and charged with second-degree murder and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
As per Law&Crime, he is being held without bond at Clinton County Jail and appeared in Peru Town Court on Tuesday for his arraignment.
