WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY EVENING THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING…

* WHAT…Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE…In Connecticut, Northern Fairfield County. In New Jersey, Western Passaic County. In New York, Orange and Putnam Counties.

* WHEN…For the heavy snow, from Monday evening through Tuesday evening. For the strong winds, Tuesday morning into Tuesday

  afternoon.

* IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

–Timing: Rain changes to heavy snow after midnight and continues into Tuesday Morning. Periods of moderate snow Tuesday aft/eve, before coming to an end by around midnight.

–Snowfall rates: 1-2”/hr Midnight Mon through Tue AM

–Snow Character: Wet

–Temps: Lower 30s

–Impacts: Scattered to numerous downed trees limbs and

powerlines. Difficult travel.
