NWS Weather Forecast: Winter Storm Warning, 4 to 6 Inches of Snow Expected, Jan. 4th
National Weather Service Forecast: Hazardous Weather Outlook is predicted for southern Connecticut and southeast New York. A Winter Storm Watch is in effect from late tonight through Thursday evening.
Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning and evening commutes on Thursday. Tree branches could fall as well. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 6 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts.

Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Areas of blowing snow before noon. High near 26. Wind chill values between 5 and 10. Blustery, with a northwest wind 11 to 16 mph increasing to 19 to 24 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches possible.

A 50 percent chance of snow, mainly before 9pm. Areas of blowing snow before 9pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 5. Wind chill values between -10 and zero. West wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
