The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Fairfield county and other local areas.
WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE SUNDAY NIGHT THROUGH LATE MONDAY NIGHT.
Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.
Storm will cover portions of northeast New Jersey, southern Connecticut and southeast New York.
The snow storm will occur from late Sunday night through late Monday night.
Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commute.
