National Weather Service Wind Advisory, Eversource Has 1,133 Customer Outages in CT
A wind advisory for strong gusty winds has been issued by the National Weather Service for Fairfield County and remains in effect until 6:00 p.m. Monday. Winds are from the west 20-30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. The strongest winds are expected on Monday. The impact of the wind may blow down tree limbs, trees and power lines. Scattered power outages are expected.
A wind advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph or gusts of 46 to 57 mph are expected or are occurring. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
Snow showers will continue this evening. Snow accumulations of an inch or two is possible in spots. Be prepared for slippery roads and use caution while driving.

Eversource has reported 1,133 outages in Connecticut at the present time, out of 1,262,170 customers served. View map below to see outage areas (click on image to view larger):
No outages are reported in Bethel or Danbury but the surrounding towns do have some cutomers with outages: Newtown 95, Brookfield 5, Redding 29, Ridgefield 71, New Fairfield 393,Wilton 28, Weston 26, and more in northwestern and southwestern CT as map shows.
