Mobile County, AL – The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Vice Unit concluded a major drug bust on September 10, seizing thousands of narcotics, firearms, and other items tied to drug trafficking, officials announced.
Two-Month Investigation Leads to Raid
The bust came after a two-month investigation targeting suspected drug trafficking operations in the area. Investigators executed a search warrant at The Crossings at Pinebrook Apartments and an additional storage unit, recovering significant quantities of illegal drugs and weapons.
Seized Drugs and Weapons
Authorities confiscated a wide range of substances and items during the operation, including:
- Nearly 10,000 suspected fentanyl pills
- 32 cases containing 384 bottles of promethazine and codeine syrup
- 276 grams of suspected Xanax pills
- Nearly 1,100 grams of marijuana
- AR-style rifle and three handguns
- Narcotics paraphernalia
- Currency and jewelry allegedly obtained from drug trafficking profits
Officials emphasized the dangers posed by fentanyl, a potent opioid responsible for a growing number of overdoses nationwide.
“The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to protecting the community by disrupting drug trafficking operations and holding accountable those who profit from distributing dangerous narcotics such as fentanyl,” the department said, according to reports.

Authorities have not released the names of any suspects linked to the investigation, but the case is ongoing. The Sheriff’s Office stated that additional arrests could follow as the investigation continues.
Community Impact
The seizure removes thousands of potentially lethal doses of fentanyl and other drugs from the streets of Mobile County, helping to prevent overdoses and related criminal activity. Local law enforcement stressed the importance of community vigilance and reporting suspicious activity to assist in ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking.
