New York City, NY – A bizarre and dangerous incident unfolded in Brooklyn on Sunday afternoon when a man allegedly stole a FedEx truck, crashed into multiple vehicles and a church fence, and attempted to hijack an ambulance, according to police reports.
Alleged Joyride Begins in Park Slope
Authorities say Domanique Bullock, 32, allegedly climbed into a parked FedEx truck outside 606 Carroll Street in Park Slope at around 2:25 p.m., forcing the 25-year-old driver out of the vehicle.
Witnesses described a chaotic scene as Bullock sped eastbound on Carroll Street, smashing into a stationary 2012 Mercedes-Benz SUV parked nearby. The NYPD confirmed no injuries were reported during this initial collision.
Multiple Vehicle Collisions and Church Damage
The dangerous spree didn’t stop there. Bullock allegedly rear-ended a yellow 2024 taxi stopped at a red light at Carroll Street and Sixth Avenue before plowing into the fence of a nearby church, causing property damage. Police say the man then abandoned the truck and fled the scene on foot.
Ambulance Hijacking Attempt
In a bizarre twist, Bullock reportedly returned to the crash site moments later and tried to climb into a parked New York-Presbyterian Hospital ambulance that had responded to the wreck he allegedly caused.
Authorities say Bullock attempted to operate the ambulance but was unsuccessful and was quickly taken into custody by responding officers.
