Ridgeland, SC — A major narcotics investigation conducted by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) has led to the arrest of a Georgia man and the seizure of significant quantities of illegal drugs and weapons. The bust, which spanned from Ridgeland, South Carolina to Rincon, Georgia, marks one of the most substantial enforcement operations in the county this year.
Search Warrant Executed in Ridgeland
On October 16, deputies with the JCSO Drug Enforcement Unit served a search warrant on a residence located on South Jacob Boulevard in Ridgeland, SC. Investigators say the property had been under surveillance as part of a broader operation targeting drug trafficking activities in the region.
During the search, deputies seized a large variety of illegal substances and criminal evidence including:
- 300 grams of cocaine
- 14 grams of crack cocaine
- 889 grams of marijuana
- Drug paraphernalia commonly used in distribution
- A Ruger 5.7 handgun
- Ammunition
- Three vehicles believed to be associated with drug activity
Officials state that the recovered narcotics have an estimated street value of tens of thousands of dollars, which represents a significant disruption to local drug circulation, as per WSAV.
Suspect Identified but Not Initially Located
The primary suspect, Travis “Funk” Graham, was not present at the home when JCSO deputies entered. According to investigators, Graham had managed to leave before the warrant was executed.
Graham was already the subject of multiple warrants, including:
- Trafficking cocaine
- Trafficking crack cocaine
- Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
- Possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
Authorities say the case was immediately shared with regional law enforcement to assist in locating the suspect.
Traffic Stop in Georgia Leads to Capture
Five days later, on October 21, officers with the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office in Rincon, Georgia, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle believed to be tied to Graham.
Deputies confirmed that Travis Graham, 34, was behind the wheel. He was taken into custody on-site without further incident.
Officials say Graham is currently being held in Georgia, pending extradition back to Jasper County, where he will face the full list of felony charges.
