Macon, GA – A 37-year-old man, Larry Sellers Jr., from Macon, has died after a high-speed police chase ended with a fatal crash into a west Macon church. The incident occurred on Napier Avenue, according to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).
Authorities reported that Sellers was driving a white Infiniti Q70 when he was first pursued by a Bibb County Sheriff’s deputy. The chase began near Napier Avenue and Fairmont Avenue but was called off by deputies when the vehicle drove east of Napier Avenue.
Crash After Police Disengaged
Although the pursuit had been terminated, a Macon-Bibb 911 call later reported that a white Infiniti had collided with a church in the 3000 block of Napier Avenue. When deputies arrived, they confirmed it was the same vehicle involved in the earlier chase.
After the crash, Sellers attempted to flee on foot but collapsed shortly after. He was pronounced dead at the scene. As per 13WMAZ, Coroner Leon Jones stated that Sellers’ family has been notified.
