Kern County, CA – A probation search at a Cherry Street home led to the arrest of two individuals after authorities discovered drugs, a stolen motorcycle, and an illegal gambling operation, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office reported Friday.

Probation Search Leads to Arrests

Kern County deputies initially conducted a probation check at the residence, uncovering a stolen motorcycle on Wednesday. The vehicle was recovered and returned, and deputies obtained a search warrant to further investigate the property, as per KMPH.

Drugs and Gambling Found

During the Friday search, deputies seized:

  • Approximately 111.2 grams of suspected fentanyl
  • 17.9 grams of suspected methamphetamine
  • An illegal gambling table
  • Nearly $2,000 in cash, believed to be tied to drug sales and gambling activity

Arrested Individuals

Two people were arrested and booked for multiple charges, including drug possession and distribution, illegal gambling, and child endangerment:

  • Michael Charles Brown, 39
  • Elia Elizabeth Martin, 27
