The Delaware County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) responded to a call at approximately 3:45 a.m. reporting a vehicle on fire. Upon arrival, deputies confirmed that the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames with a deceased person inside.

The Indiana State Fire Marshal’s Office has joined DCSO in investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire and the death. Officials emphasized that, at this time, there is no known threat to the public.
