Message just received from Bethel Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Carver:

Dear Parents/Guardians:

Over the last week, as a result of my two letters involving the circumstances at Berry School, we have had many parents request to receive more information from professional sources on how to support their children. To be responsive to these requests, we will be hosting an informational session for parents on Thursday, February 26th at 6:30 PM at Bethel Middle School in the Auditorium.

The outcomes for the session include:

• Familiarize parents with the investigatory process; What is the process? Who is involved in the
process? Why is confidentiality so important to the process?

• Strategies for prevention and minimization of risk; and

• How to talk to your child if you suspect something has happened.

The following individuals and agencies will be presenting:

Donna Meyer, Director of Multidisciplinary Investigative Team of Greater Danbury, Family & Children’s Aid

Vincent Tinnerello, Program Manager, Department of Children and Family, Danbury Area Office

Lynn Morris, Youth Officer, Bethel Police Department

Please be aware, we do not have any additional updates at this time. This session will be informational only and no additional details from the investigation will be shared. Given the sensitivity of the information presented, the session will be for adults only.

I want to thank you again for your continued support and patience.

Sincerely,

Christine Carver, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
