Miami, FL — Jack Doherty, a 22-year-old YouTube personality, found himself in handcuffs early Saturday morning after a strange confrontation with Miami Beach police — one in which he appeared to challenge officers to a duel in the middle of a busy street, videos posted online show.
The viral clips, shared widely across TikTok, capture the chaotic moments leading up to Doherty’s arrest, which included officers repeatedly ordering him to step onto the sidewalk as he stood in traffic, fiddling with his phone.
According to authorities, Doherty was taken into custody after officers discovered he was carrying amphetamines, leading to charges of drug possession and resisting an officer.
Video Shows Heated Exchange Between Doherty and Police
One video shows a frustrated officer confronting the influencer:
“You think you’re funny? If you’re gonna be funny, get out of the f–king street. I don’t know who the f–k you think you are, bro,” a Miami Beach police officer can be heard saying.
Doherty, appearing uneasy and clutching his phone, told officers, “I was trying to walk up the street,” as he was being cuffed.
The officer fired back: “All you had to do was get on the f–king sidewalk, that’s it.”
Doherty Repeatedly Insists on a ‘Duel’ Before Listening to Commands
Another angle posted online shows Doherty surrounded by approximately six police officers as he loudly announces: “Alright, we challenge you to a duel.”
Officers gave multiple warnings, telling him to move for his own safety: “Guys, go on the sidewalk,” one officer ordered.
“After we duel, sir,” Doherty replied, still staring down at his phone.
The officer warned him again. “I’m not gonna tell you again — go on the sidewalk.”
But the influencer repeated, “Yes, sir, after we duel.”
Moments later, as he continued refusing to comply, an officer grabbed his hand and began cuffing him.
“Oh! I’m going!” a startled Doherty exclaimed as he tried to cooperate.
“Chill, chill, chill,” he added while officers secured both wrists.
Booked Into County Jail, Then Talks About His Experience Online
Doherty was officially booked into Miami-Dade County Jail at 8:48 a.m. He later posted a video detailing his time behind bars, wearing a shirt humorously printed with his own mug shot.
He claimed he slept on a bench alone for “five hours,” was fingerprinted, photographed, and then “chilled for another five-plus hours.”
“I was like damn, I’m flying to Dubai in my mind right now,” he joked, adding that he “hogged the jail phone” during his time inside.
Recent Turbulence in Doherty’s Personal Life
Doherty’s arrest comes roughly a year after he crashed his $200,000 McLaren, which authorities said happened while he was allegedly texting and livestreaming in Miami.
His personal life has also made headlines. Last month, his wife — McKinley Richardson, a 22-year-old OnlyFans model — announced she was splitting from the YouTuber less than a year after their whirlwind Las Vegas wedding, describing the vows as “humiliating” and revealing that Doherty sprang a prenup on her during the ceremony.

As of now, Doherty faces charges of drug possession (amphetamines) and resisting an officer, with additional court dates expected in the coming weeks.
