Tomorrow, just two days after the shooting in San Bernardino that killed 14 people and left 21 others wounded, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), U.S. Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty (CT-5), and U.S. Congressman John Larson (CT-1) will condemn congressional Republicans for refusing to pass commonsense gun safety measures that would protect Americans and keep guns out of the wrong hands.

More than 1,000 mass shootings across the U.S. since Sandy Hook.

Vast majority of Americans & gun owners support tighter gun safety measures

**Friday, December 4th at 11:30 a.m. in Hartford**

WASHINGTON — Tomorrow, just two days after the shooting in San Bernardino that killed 14 people and left 21 others wounded, U.S. Senator Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), U.S. Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty (CT-5), and U.S. Congressman John Larson (CT-1) will condemn congressional Republicans for refusing to pass commonsense gun safety measures that would protect Americans and keep guns out of the wrong hands. They will call on congressional Republicans to join the 90% of Americans and the majority of gun owners in supporting these life-saving efforts.

Earlier today, Senate Republicans blocked amendments that would have closed background check loopholes and prevented those on terror watch lists from purchasing guns and explosives. More than 1,000 mass shootings have occurred across the country since Sandy Hook nearly three years ago.
