ROCKFISH, N.C. — A Hoke County drug raid last week resulted in seven arrests, with a couple facing child abuse charges and four others charged with drug-related offenses, officials said.
The raid occurred Thursday at a home on the 600 block of Sunset Lake Road near Parkton. Deputies executed a search warrant on the property and several surrounding buildings about four miles southwest of Fayetteville.
Initially, 12 people were detained as officers conducted the search.
Drugs, Firearms, and Stolen Property Seized
Deputies reported confiscating:
- 23 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- 11 grams of suspected fentanyl
- 29 grams of THC resin
- 7.5 grams of marijuana
- 6 grams of psilocybin mushrooms
- Six firearms
- Assorted drug paraphernalia
- $496 in cash
- A stolen golf cart from Robeson County
Child Abuse Charges Filed
Danielle Hopkins, 34, and Rodney Williams, 40, were charged with two counts of misdemeanor child abuse each. Deputies found two toddlers living in unsanitary conditions with no heat, running water, or food, and the children were reportedly covered in dirt and feces, with ringworms on their lower bodies.
Both were given $3,000 secured bonds for their child abuse charges as per CBS17.
Other Arrests and Drug Charges
The following suspects face drug-related charges:
- Candice Barnhill – Possession with intent to manufacture/sell methamphetamine, maintain a dwelling for drug activity, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Held on $50,000 secured bond.
- Andre Grayman – Possession with intent to sell THC, felony possession of psilocybin, maintain a dwelling for drug activity, possession of stolen goods, and paraphernalia. Held on $75,000 secured bond.
- Thomas Roman – Trafficking fentanyl, maintain a dwelling for drug activity, possession of paraphernalia. Held without bond due to pre-trial release.
- Latosha Harris – Trafficking fentanyl, maintain a dwelling for drug activity, possession of paraphernalia, and probation violation. Held without bond.
Multi-Agency Investigation
The investigation involved the North Carolina SBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and US Postal Inspectors, who assisted in arrests and evidence collection.
