RALEIGH, N.C. – A head-on collision involving two vehicles led to the temporary closure of Falls of Neuse Road near Millbrook Road on Monday evening, sending two individuals to the hospital with emergency injuries.

The wreck occurred just after 8:25 p.m. near the intersection of Falls of Neuse Road and Cedarhurst Drive, according to an alert from the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). Officials confirmed that the crash involved a Honda sedan and another unidentified vehicle in a head-on impact.

An image from the scene showed extensive damage to both cars, with debris scattered across the southbound lanes. Emergency crews quickly responded to assess the scene and tend to the injured.

Injuries and Emergency Response

According to the Raleigh Police Department, one person from each vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for emergency medical treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed, and their identities have not yet been released.
