Hartford, CT – A 25-year-old Hartford man was arrested Thursday evening after being found carrying an illegal handgun, according to the Hartford Police Department. The arrest took place on Warren Street following a report of someone handling a firearm in public.
Officers responded promptly and recovered a .40-caliber handgun equipped with an auto-sear “switch” and a high-capacity magazine loaded with 23 rounds, according to a Facebook post by the department.

- Carrying a pistol without a permit
- Possession of a machine gun
- Possession of a high-capacity magazine
