Harrisburg, PA — Another Pleasant Sunday with Low Humidity; Rain Chances Remain Sparse Through Week

A refreshingly mild weekend is wrapping up across the Midstate, with another day of sunshine, low humidity, and temperatures in the low 80s. As the region heads into the new workweek, forecasters expect the comfortable weather to persist — at least for now.

Cool and Comfortable Tonight

According to Meteorologist Dan Tomaso, tonight’s forecast will remain pleasant and cool, with low humidity and overnight lows dipping to around 59°F.

“Pleasant & Cool, Low Humidity. Lo 59,” Tomaso noted.

Skies will stay mostly clear overnight, continuing the trend of dry and stable air that has dominated the weekend across central Pennsylvania.

Warming Up for Monday and Tuesday

By Monday, temperatures will rebound slightly, reaching a high near 86°F, under partly cloudy skies. Tuesday’s forecast remains similar, with passing clouds and seasonal warmth.

“Monday and Tuesday will be warmer, but near average with highs around 86,” Tomaso stated.

Humidity will stay manageable early in the week, making outdoor conditions favorable for much of the Midstate.

Moisture Tries to Return Midweek

Cloud cover is expected to increase by mid-week as atmospheric moisture begins to creep back in. A weak system on Thursday may spark isolated showers, but rainfall totals, if any, are expected to be minimal.

“A weak system on Thursday may bring some stray showers but without a ton of moisture, rain chances remain low at this point,” Tomaso explained.

While any precipitation will be light, residents may notice a slight uptick in cloud cover and humidity levels by Thursday.

Watching the Tropics — No Threat Yet

There are a few areas of tropical interest developing over the western Atlantic Ocean, but none pose a serious threat to Pennsylvania at this time.

“One system looks to head far to the east of Pennsylvania, while another may develop along the coast,” Tomaso noted. “At this time there is no confidence in the forecast that this system would bring the Midstate rain, but we are watching it.”

Tomaso emphasized that forecast confidence remains low, and the team will continue monitoring developments closely.

Outlook: Pleasant Start, Uncertain Finish

Overall, the next few days promise a pleasant mix of sun and mild warmth, with only a slight chance of rain by late week. The bulk of the Midstate will stay dry and comfortable through at least Wednesday.
