Kewaunee, WI – Cesar Mendoza Mora, 27, of Green Bay, was arrested after being identified as the suspect in the theft of tires from multiple locations across northeast Wisconsin. The arrest came following a multi-agency investigation and the execution of a search warrant earlier this month.
Arrest and Charges
According to authorities, the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Office, in coordination with the Seymour Police Department, executed an arrest warrant on September 18. Mendoza Mora was taken into custody and is being charged with Receiving Stolen Property. A bail hearing is scheduled for September 22.
Investigators explained that while the initial case focused on tire thefts in Kewaunee County, further investigation revealed that the crimes were part of a larger, ongoing operation, which authorities say continues to expand.
“While the initial investigation was based on thefts which involved fraudulent use of credit cards within Kewaunee County, the investigation conducted by the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department determined that this was part of a much larger scale operation which continues to broaden,” the sheriff’s office said in a press release.
Search and Seizures
Following the arrest, law enforcement executed a search warrant at Mendoza Mora’s residence in Green Bay, with assistance from the Green Bay Police Department and Algoma Police Department. Authorities reported seizing evidentiary items, including a vehicle and trailer linked to the thefts.
During the search, illegal drugs were also discovered, though the sheriff’s office has not released details on the type or quantity. These findings may lead to additional charges as the investigation continues, according to reports.
