An announcement was made Friday morning by Gov. Dannel Malloy (on the Chaz and AJ radio show /WPLR) that he is proposing a plan to extend liquor store hours, cut prices on alcohol and increase the number of permits sellers can obtain.
He is proposing that stores stay open for an extra hour and and increase in the number of store permits one owner can hold, from three to six, and keep minimum bottle pricing, but allow for discounting, NBC CT reports.
Malloy pointed out differences in liquor prices in Connecticut and neighboring Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

One of the things that’s really struck me after moving out of the States – the US is pretty much the only western country where it’s normal to make kids take a loyalty oath every morning.To me, it’s not about promoting patriotism – it’s about promoting nationalism.
