Gastonia, NC – A 34-year-old woman, Demetria Ronika Blackmond, is facing dozens of felony charges following a drug bust in Gaston County, authorities reported.
Arrest and Seized Drugs
Blackmond was arrested on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, after police linked her to the distribution of more than 3,000 illegally produced pills and over 250 grams of fentanyl powder.
Authorities released photos showing multiple bags filled with illegal drugs found during the investigation.
Charges
Gaston County jail records, as reviewed by WBTV, show Blackmond faces at least 23 counts of drug trafficking, along with additional charges related to narcotics offenses.
Police warned about the dangers of fentanyl:
“Fentanyl pills are deadly and deceptive. Even one pill can kill, especially if a person doesn’t know what’s in it.”
Current Status
As of September 12, 2025, Blackmond remains in Gaston County jail under a $925,000 bond.
