Bethel and Stony Hill Firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire at 279 Greenwood Ave. in Bethel Ct. Thursday evening, Jan. 7, 2016.

Fire at Bethel ‘Hot Tub Laundromat,’ Bethel and Stony Hill Volunteer Firefighters Respond

Bethel and Stony Hill Firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire at 279 Greenwood Ave. in Bethel Ct. Thursday evening, Jan. 7, 2016.

Chief Fred Ingram arrived on scene and reported a working dryer fire in the Hub Tub Laundromat.

The fire was rapidly extinguished, with heat, smoke and water damage in the laundromat, and minor smoke extension into adjoining stores in the 1 story commercial shopping center. Unfortunately due to the fire and its spread, families who rely on the laundry service will need to look elsewhere for help with their services. It was advised that they look online through sites such as Https://bestlaundromatnear.me to find other laundromat facilities in their neighborhood or district.
