Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Sandy Hook on April 18th, Newtown Police Ask For Your Help
One vehicle accident:
On 04/18/17 at 5:26pm, the Newtown Police Department responded to a one vehicle accident that occurred at 195 Riveside Road, Sandy Hook, CT. The vehicle involved was a black and red street motocyle; the operator and sole occupant of the bike was identified as Martin Amidon of Newtown, CT. Martin Amidon was pronounced deceased on scene by paramedics as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.
The Newtown Police Department is requesting any witnesses that may have seen the accident or the vehicle operating in the area prior to the accident to contact Officer Lorancaitis. At this time the incident is still under investigation, additional details will be released when appropriate.
