Everett, WA — Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with the death of a man found earlier this month in Everett, less than a week after the discovery on Grand Avenue. The case is now being investigated as a homicide, according to local police.
Police say the body was found on November 6 along Grand Avenue, somewhere between Everett Avenue and 26th Street, a primarily residential area. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
Discovery on Grand Avenue
According to investigators, officers responded to reports of an unresponsive man along the 2500 block of Grand Avenue, where they discovered the body. Authorities have not said how the man died, but evidence at the scene led them to treat the case as a suspicious death.
“The location where the body was discovered is being treated as a crime scene while detectives gather evidence,” officials said.
Detectives worked throughout the week interviewing residents and canvassing nearby homes for surveillance footage.

The name of the suspect has not yet been released, and authorities have not indicated whether the victim and suspect knew each other. Officials say the motive remains under investigation.
Ongoing Investigation
Everett Police are continuing to collect forensic evidence and conduct witness interviews to piece together the events leading up to the man’s death. Detectives are also awaiting results from the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office, which will determine the official cause and manner of death.
“This remains an active investigation, and updates will be provided as additional information becomes available,” police noted.
Residents in the area have expressed concern following the discovery, as the section of Grand Avenue is typically quiet and residential.
