El Paso, TX — A tragic shooting in Central El Paso has left four people critically injured, including model and Top Model USA winner Mia Molina, who was later identified by organizers of El Paso Fashion Week as one of the victims.
The shooting occurred on Wednesday, Sept. 24, around 1:21 p.m., in the 1000 block of Raynor Street.
Victims Identified
According to a Facebook post from El Paso Fashion Week, Molina was among those injured in the shooting. KTSM reported that four victims — two men and two women — were taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Police have not officially released the identities of the victims. El Paso Police spokesman Adrian Cisneros confirmed that all four individuals were Hispanic but did not provide further details.
Early Investigation
Police Chief Peter Pacillas was seen at the crime scene alongside investigators. The area was cordoned off with crime tape as officers examined vehicles with visible bullet holes.
Cisneros told reporters that two vehicles at the scene are believed to have been directly involved in the shooting.
“This is the place where the shooting occurred and it has nothing to do with anything else,” Cisneros said when asked if police were involved.
No suspects are in custody, and officials stressed that the investigation remains in its early stages.
The east and westbound lanes of Montana Avenue at Raynor Street were closed as investigators continued gathering evidence.
Details of the case were first reported by KTSM.
Community Reaction
News of Molina’s involvement has deeply shaken the fashion community. Organizers of El Paso Fashion Week shared their grief online, honoring her contributions as both a model and a public figure.
The post described Molina as a “bright talent” whose presence had elevated the event in past years. Supporters, friends, and fellow models have since flooded social media with condolences.
Police Appeal for Information
Investigators continue searching for suspects. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Members of the public with knowledge of the incident are asked to call the El Paso Police Department immediately.
A Community in Mourning
