Eight Arrested in Undercover Child Predator Sting in Las Vegas, Including Pastor

Las Vegas, NV — In a major undercover operation, eight accused child sex offenders, including a pastor, are now off the streets of Las Vegas, authorities announced. This operation, carried out by the Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the FBI, and several local police departments, successfully removed dangerous individuals from the community.

Undercover Operation Leads to Multiple Arrests

The arrests were made over the course of the past two weeks. Undercover officers and federal agents posed as children online, responding to the same messages and meeting requests that real children might encounter in the community.

Among the eight men arrested was 46-year-old Neal Harrison Creecy, a pastor at Redemption Church. Investigators allege that Creecy used a computer to attempt to lure children for sexual misconduct, a felony charge. According to police, Creecy’s actions were part of a larger effort by local and federal authorities to combat online child exploitation.

Pastor’s Role and Response to Allegations

For the past five years, Creecy had rented space at The Good Samaritan Lutheran Church on West Sahara and Cimarron, where he operated his religious organization, Redemption Church. However, church officials clarified that Creecy had no official affiliation with the Lutheran Church. W. Don Seaborg, the President of Pastoral Support for Redemption Church, expressed shock and dismay over the arrest.

“As soon as he got out of jail within an hour or two, he contacted us on a thread message and confessed. He offered his resignation when we met with him later that morning. We had to accept his resignation immediately,” Seaborg told reporters.

Other Arrests and Ongoing Investigation

Alongside Creecy, seven other men were arrested under similar circumstances. Authorities said the suspects believed they were meeting children, but were instead confronted by law enforcement.

The FBI, Homeland Security, Metro Police, Henderson Police, and North Las Vegas Police all participated in this extensive undercover sting operation. The investigation, which continues, aims to protect vulnerable children from online predators and ensure they remain safe in their communities.

Creecy Out on Bail, Court Appearance Scheduled

Creecy is currently out on $10,000 bail and is scheduled for his first court appearance on Sept. 2 at 9:00 a.m. at Henderson Justice Court.
