Phoenix, AZ — A violent confrontation between two motorcyclists spiraled into a deadly chain of events late Friday night, ending with two men dead and a third person temporarily detained, according to the Phoenix Police Department. Authorities say a nearby driver fatally struck a motorcyclist who had opened fire on another rider after a collision.
Crash Near 7th Avenue and I-17 Escalates Into Gunfire
The incident unfolded just before 11 p.m. near 7th Avenue and Interstate 17, where two motorcycle riders crashed into each other. Following the collision, police say the riders began arguing, which quickly intensified into a physical altercation.
During the fight, one of the motorcyclists reportedly pulled out a firearm and shot the other rider, leaving him critically wounded.
