Port Huron Township, Michigan – Three 18-year-olds have been arrested following a drive-by shooting in Port Huron Township, St. Clair County. The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday, Nov. 8, and has sparked concern among residents in the neighborhood of Water Street.
According to the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a 911 call around 1:30 a.m. reporting gunfire at a home on Water Street. The suspect vehicle was described as a white Pontiac G6. Shortly afterward, authorities received another call reporting men arguing inside the same vehicle.
Traffic Stop Leads to Arrests
Deputies quickly located the white Pontiac G6 and conducted a traffic stop. Inside the vehicle were three 18-year-old suspects, who were immediately taken into custody.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed an AR-15-style firearm, ammunition, and multiple shell casings, raising serious concerns about the potential for additional violence, as per ClickonDetroit.
Felony Charges Filed
The three teens were arraigned on Monday, Nov. 10, facing multiple felony charges related to the shooting:
- Cameron Maydwell – Charged with discharge of a firearm in or at a building, discharge of a weapon from a vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon, use of a police scanner in commission of a felony, malicious use of a telecommunication service, and two counts of felony firearm.
- Tristan Aldrich – Charged with discharge of a firearm in or at a building, discharge of a weapon from a vehicle, and two counts of felony firearm.
- Bryant Heinz – Charged with discharge of a firearm in or at a building, discharge of a weapon from a vehicle, carrying a concealed weapon, and two counts of felony firearm.
All three suspects were granted $50,000 bond each and are awaiting further court proceedings.
