Danbury Police Need Your Help Involving Car Break-Ins and Auto Theft Cases

We Need Your Help!

On 07/20/18, in the early morning hours, Danbury Police patrol units responded to several reports of car break-ins and three auto theft complaints in the area of Hillandale Rd, East Gate Rd, Westville Ave, and Town Hill Ave. The stolen vehicles were unlocked with the keys left inside. The other vehicles left unlocked had been gone through.

Danbury Police have been provided still photographs of the suspects and are asking for the public to provide any information they have to help identify them. Danbury Police is continuing the investigation.

The public is reminded to:
– Never leave you car running with the keys in the ignition when you are away from it, even for “just a minute”
– Always roll up the windows and lock the car even in front of your home
– Never leave valuables in plain view inside your car, even if it is locked
– Park in busy, well-lit areas
– Do not leave wallets, purses, passports, or other important documents inside your vehicle
– If your car is stolen or broken into, report it to the Police Department immediately and do not touch anything
