Cultural Alliance of Western CT Call for Collaborative Arts Programs: ‘Endworks’ to Give Voice to the Vision of the Women’s Center

“We who have means, and a voice must use them to help those who have neither.”  – author for young adults, Jennifer Donnelly

The Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut has issued, in collaboration with the Women’s Center of Greater Danbury, Inc., a call for arts-related projects that will help to move a conversation forward regarding issues of domestic violence and sexual assault that are socially direct and culturally aware in their expression. The goal, through 2018, is to partner with three community producers/presenters of arts-related programs as collaborative participants in “EndWorks,” a series giving voice “…to end the violence against women, men, and children, to foster equality and empowerment for all.” As such, the relationship between artist and audience will be distinctive and personal, crafting an artist-led encounter between those whose lives have been touched by domestic violence and sexual assault, and those who have not.

Proposals should be directed to the Cultural Alliance of Western Connecticut. There are no deadlines to apply and all artistic means of expression and voice are welcomed. For guidelines, visit artswesternct.org
