ORIGINAL STORY:
Connecticut Sate Police continue their search for Peter Manfredonia who is an armed and dangerous. Peter is the primary suspect in a murder in Willington.
Newtown Police have stepped up patrols and have increased manpower, out an abundance of caution. Residents should be aware and on the lookout, that while no immediate danger exist the potential is here and we have addressed it by bringing in extra manpower to patrol and protect our residents.
The suspect has very strong ties to Newtown and with the recent sightings of Peter in Derby in the Route 34 area, we want our residents and those around to be aware of this very dangerous individual.
The suspect is possibly believed to be in possession of several firearms and driving a Volkswagon Jetta CT Plates AU78524, color black.
The 23-year-old Manfredonia is described as a 6’3″ white male, with disheveled, black hair, brown eyes, and weighs approximately 240 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a gray t-shirt, gray sweatpants, and carrying some type of bag.

On May 22, 2020, Peter Manfredonia, DOB 2/2/97 was seen leaving the scene of a homicide and serious assault on Mirtl Rd. in Willington, CT. He was wearing dark clothing and is considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS. If seen do not approach and call 911. Anyone with information, please contact Eastern District Major Crimes – Troop C at 860-896-3200.
Vehicle related is a 2016 black Volkswagen Jetta CT AU78524. Bumper sticker on driver’s side, “Sandy Hook Tribute Victim #26.”
Expect to see a heavy police presence in the area. Do NOT approach, call 9-1-1 immediately if you see the individual.
