Athens, Texas – Three Athens residents were arrested on Tuesday morning following the execution of two narcotics search warrants targeting suspected drug distribution in the city, authorities said.
The operation was conducted by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office in coordination with the Athens Police Department as part of an ongoing campaign to curb illegal narcotics activity in Henderson County.
Early-Morning Raids Target Drug Distribution
The first search warrant was executed at approximately 6:45 a.m. in the 500 block of St. Joseph Street, where law enforcement officers arrested Deanglo Russell and Bridget Fossis.
During the search, investigators reportedly recovered:
- Crack cocaine prepackaged for sale
- Digital scales commonly used in narcotics distribution
Both Russell and Fossis were transported to the Henderson County Jail and booked on charges of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.
Second Warrant Leads to Arrest of Third Suspect

The second search warrant was carried out in the 800 block of East Charlie Street, resulting in the arrest of Brady Sharrod Harris.

Authorities said officers discovered multiple drugs prepackaged for distribution, including:
- Crack cocaine
- Cocaine
- Methamphetamine
- Marijuana
Additionally, investigators recovered bags and digital scales used to measure and package narcotics. Harris was booked at the Henderson County Jail on three counts of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance.

Officials described the arrests as the outcome of a prolonged investigation into local drug distribution networks. Law enforcement emphasized that the operation is part of a larger effort to combat illegal narcotics throughout Henderson County.

“This was a long drug-dealing operation that was brought down by a continuing campaign against narcotics in our county. Getting these suspects in jail and keeping them in jail until they can be brought to trial sends the right message to other dealers and users in this community. Henderson County is no place to be making, selling, or using illegal drugs. The commitment to clean up this county is strong in our team.”
