LA GRANGE, N.C. – Three individuals were arrested after a drug investigation led deputies to a residence in Lenoir County, where multiple charges were filed and children were discovered inside the home.

Warrant Execution Leads to Multiple Arrests

On August 20, deputies from the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office arrived at a home on Lang Skinner Road to serve an arrest warrant for Jennifer Grady, 38. During their search for Grady, deputies found probable cause to request a search warrant for the home.

Upon executing the warrant, deputies discovered evidence of drug activity, resulting in the arrest of two additional individuals and new charges filed against all three.

Charges Filed Against the Suspects

Jennifer Grady now faces charges including selling methamphetamine, delivering methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver (PWIMSD) methamphetamine, and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. She is currently held on a $15,000 secured bond.

Ronald Daniels, 55, was served with an order for arrest related to a felony probation violation. His bond was set at $10,000 secured.

Children Discovered Inside the Residence

During the operation, deputies found that children were present inside the home, prompting a response from the Lenoir County Department of Social Services. Authorities did not disclose how many children were present or their condition but confirmed that proper steps were taken to ensure their safety as per WRAL.

Dangers of Drug Activity in Homes with Children

The presence of children in environments where illegal drug activity is taking place poses a significant risk. Exposure to narcotics, paraphernalia, and criminal behavior can result in long-term emotional, physical, and psychological harm to minors. Law enforcement and child welfare agencies treat such situations with urgency to protect vulnerable children from dangerous conditions.

Lenoir County authorities remain focused on disrupting drug trafficking and production operations. Routine warrant checks and surveillance continue to be key tools in addressing methamphetamine distribution in rural communities.
