Wright County, MN – A warrant has been issued for Cassie Rae Tauriainen, 39, after it was discovered that her child brought a “magic mushroom” chocolate bar to school, ate some of it, and shared it with a classmate, authorities said.
Incident at Cokato Elementary School
The incident occurred on Sept. 10 at Cokato Elementary School, when two young children, including Tauriainen’s 6-year-old daughter, began showing signs of overdosing after consuming the chocolate. Both children were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Details of the Chocolate Bar
Investigators determined that the chocolate bar, labeled “Mmeld Magic Mushroom”, contained 6 grams of mushrooms. Authorities believe that Tauriainen’s daughter ate part of the chocolate at school and shared some with another child, leading to the emergency hospitalization.
Tauriainen’s Involvement
According to investigators and reports, Tauriainen’s daughter had been at her apartment for the previous two days, during which the chocolate bar was presumably obtained. This has led authorities to charge Tauriainen with multiple felonies, prompting a warrant for her arrest.
