Avon, IN – A tragedy struck early Friday morning in Pittsboro, Hendricks County, when a local man died after his car crashed into a utility pole, authorities confirmed.
Details of the Crash
According to the Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office, Jayson Wodtke, of Avon, was driving near the intersection of County Road 100 East and County Road 700 North at approximately 4:30 a.m.
Investigators reported that Wodtke lost control of his vehicle, overcorrected, and collided with the pole. Unfortunately, he died from his injuries before emergency crews could arrive at the scene.
