Byrd’s Books Celebrated Their 5th Year with a Cookie Swap and ‘Dorie’s Cookies’ Book Author Dorie Greenspan, Dec. 11th
Byrd’s Book’s 5th birthday was celebrated with a COOKIE SWAP on December 11th at 2:00 p.m. Sunday. Dorie Greenspan discussed her new book, “Dorie’s Cookies” in celebration of the day and twenty two people baked cookies from recipes in her book and brought them to taste and share.
Everyone who baked cookies from the book and brought them to the event received a $20.00 Gift Certificate to spend in the store. Bring cookies, get cookies, how cool is that?
Attendees could also fill a box with cookies for a suggested donation of $10.00, proceeds going to DAWS (Danbury Animal Welfare Society- our local no-kill shelter).
Either way, attendees got to visit with Dorie Greenspan and she saw her cookies made by others – and everyone got to sample them and take some home.
