Bronx, NY – Two young men were killed early Monday morning in a seven-vehicle crash on the southbound Bronx River Parkway in the Olinville section of the Bronx, according to the New York Police Department.
The collision occurred around 12:30 a.m. and involved two mopeds and five cars.
Victims Identified
Police said 21-year-old Enrique Martinez and 19-year-old Manuel Amarantepenalo, both from the Bronx, were ejected from their mopeds during the crash. They were transported to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Arrest Made at the Scene
Authorities arrested Mauricio Neyra Yuyes, 21, of White Plains, in connection with the crash. He faces charges of vehicular manslaughter, driving while intoxicated (DWI), and driving while ability impaired.
Officials have not released details on his role in the collision, but the investigation is ongoing to determine the sequence of events and contributing factors.

Following the crash, police shut down all southbound lanes of the Bronx River Parkway near East Gun Hill Road. Traffic was diverted while accident investigators processed the scene and documented vehicle positions.
