Breaking News: WCSU Westside Campus on a ‘Shelter in Place’ Order Due to a Report of Man with Gun
Western CT State University (Westside campus) on a shelter in place order, according to a warning on their website: “Report of person with a gun in the VPA building. Shelter in place if you are on the Westside campus.”
Mayor Mark Boughton tweeted 17 minutes ago, “Joint state police and Danbury Police Department respond to an unsubstantiated report of a man with a long gun at WestConn. Police are working on the scene.”
UPDATE from Danbury Police 15 minutes ago:
“At this time Danbury Police have responded to an unsubstantiated report of a man with a gun in the West side campus of Western Connecticut State University. Entrance to the school is closed. We request that you stay away from the area.”
