Boise Police High-Speed Chase Leads to Crash, Stolen Firearm, and Meth Seizure

Boise, ID — A late-night police pursuit in Ada County ended in a crash near N. Locust Grove Road and the railroad tracks after a black 2008 BMW led deputies on a dangerous high-speed chase, according to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies later recovered a stolen firearm, methamphetamine, and burglary tools inside the vehicle.

Pursuit Begins After Suspected Burglary Activity

The incident began around 11:42 p.m. on October 30, 2025, when an Ada County Sheriff’s deputy spotted the BMW, which had been linked to a string of burglaries and thefts in the area. The deputy attempted a traffic stop near Eagle Road and Overland Road, but the driver refused to pull over, instead accelerating to speeds of up to 80 mph.

The pursuit continued through residential neighborhoods near Victory and Meridian Roads, prompting deputies to set up a perimeter to contain the suspect vehicle.

Chase Ends With Rollover Crash

The chase came to a dramatic end when the BMW lost control, left the roadway, and rolled over near the railroad tracks by N. Locust Grove Road. Deputies immediately secured the scene and began providing medical assistance to the occupants.

Inside the wrecked vehicle, officers discovered a stolen handgun, methamphetamine, and burglary tools, confirming suspicions that the group had been involved in recent criminal activity.

Three Occupants Taken to Hospital

All three occupants of the BMW were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities identified them as:

  • A 17-year-old male driver, who remains hospitalized and faces multiple felony charges.
  • A juvenile female passenger, who was later released to her parents.
  • An adult female passenger, who also remains hospitalized and faces pending charges following medical clearance.

Felony Charges Pending as Investigation Continues

According to the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, the driver will likely face charges related to felony eluding, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of methamphetamine, and burglary. Additional charges are expected for the passengers as the investigation progresses.

Deputies said the recovery of the stolen weapon was particularly significant, as stolen firearms often play a role in violent crimes across the region, as per Idaho News.
