Bikers ‘Team 26’ Ride, Raising Awareness for Gun Violence, Switched Things Up, Ride Begins In Washington DC, Ends in Sandy Hook/Newtown, CT
For the 5th time, 26 cyclists started their bike ride today, May 4th, to honor the 26 killed at the Sandy Hook School and all victims of gun violence, to raise awareness of the public health crisis of gun violence, and to support common sense measures to reduce it.
This time, they rode from the Capitol, in Washington, D.C., to Sandy Hook, CT. They left the Capitol on May 4th and rode towards and through states that are actually working to reduce gun violence. “Until members of Congress do their jobs and pass laws to make Americans safer instead of offering thoughts and prayers for victims, they will “ride with the Congress at their backs.”
They will arrive in Newtown on May 7th.

Friday May 5 – leave Baltimore to go to the University of Delaware in Newark, DE and on to Plymouth Meeting, PA.
Saturday May 6 – from Plymouth Meeting, PA we’ll ride to the Philadelphia City Hall and then to Trenton City Hall (info) and on to Morristown, NJ.
Sunday May 7 – from Morristown we’ll ride to Newtown, CT
