Bethel WinterFest Today, Tree Lighting Tonight, Nov. 27

Join Us for an afternoon of festive fun as we kick off the holiday season in Downtown Bethel.Take a horse-drawn carriage ride*, listen to music, shop in the great boutiques along Greenwood Ave, grab a bite to eat in one of our many restaurants, enjoy soup served up by Cub Scout Pack 156, enjoy hot cocoa at our two hot cocoa stations and munch on s’mores.

The highlight of the event is the TREE LIGHTING – which will happen at 5:30pm in P.T. Barnum Square and the arrival of SANTA!!! Santa will drive past the tree and head over to the gazebo at the Municipal Center where you’ll be able to meet him and take photos.*

The carriage ride will load & unload in front of The Gift Cottage. Last ride in 5pm – make sure you get in line early.

There will be a lot of events happening at the different businesses too… Varano’s is celebrating their 20th year with a ribbon cutting and sweet treats at 2pm. Happily Furever Rescue will be set up outside of The Toy Room from 1pm-4pm. Tri-M will be performing at Broken Symmetry throughout the afternoon…more events will be coming soon.

We ask that everyone be respectful and wear a mask if they are asked to do so for the carriage ride, visiting Santa, entering a business, etc. Although the mask mandate has been currently lifted in Bethel, each business, event and the big guy himself may require one. Please be kind and respectful.
