At 07:30 this morning, Bethel & Stony Hill Firefighters were alerted to a structure fire on Reservoir St. Initial reports indicted fire in the walls. First in units encountered heavy fire showing from the rear porch. Units quickly knocked down the fire and prevented extension to the rest of the home.
Members remained on scene for an extended period of time opening up walls to gain access to affected areas and deep seated void spaces.
One resident was transported to Danbury Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Mutual aid was provided at the scene by Danbury Fire Department – CT. The cause is under investigation by Bethel Emergency Management & Fire Marshal.
