Bethel Schools Are Open, Some Roads Are Not, Bethel Police Said

Yes school is in session today, OPEN, for Bethel Public Schools.  We have not received any closures information but we checked with the Bethel Police and also the School Bus Company and school is in session.

Bethel Schools Are Open, Some Roads Are Not, Bethel Police Said

 

Yes school is in session today, OPEN, for Bethel Public Schools.  We have not received any closures information but we checked with the Bethel Police and also the School Bus Company and school is in session.

Bethel Police say some roads are still closed but the schools and school bus company are aware of that and will work around it.  We have no other information as to where/how the students on the closed roads will be picked up, but here is a little information about some road closures:

Part of Route 58 approximately Hoyt’s Hill to Route 302
Part of Fairchild Loop
Walnut Road near Weed Road

Police said crews were working through the night to clear roads of debris but some roads still remain closed.

This is all the info. we have for now, Police had to take 911 calls and could not provide further info.

We will update if we receive any additional information.

Eversource still indicates 634 customers are without power in Bethel.
