Winter Storm Warning

WEATHER UPDATE (3:50 AM EDT Tue Mar 13 2018):

According to the National Weather Service for Bethel, CT,  Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6:00PM this evening for Northern Fairfield-Northern New Haven-Southern Fairfield-Southern New Haven-Northwestern Suffolk-Southwestern Suffolk.

Heavy snow. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches are expected for portions of southern Connecticut and southeast New York until 6:00PM this evening. Northerly winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts 30 to 40 mph.

Plan on difficult travel conditions, including during the morning commute. Be prepared for
significant reductions in visibility at times. Tree branches could fall.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Winter Storm Warning for snow means severe winter weather conditions will make travel very hazardous or impossible. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Check local Department of Transportation information services for the latest road conditions.
