Report by Paula Antolini, November 12, 2019, 9:31AM EDT
An incident that occurred yesterday on Apollo Road in Bethel was a homicide not a suicide, as first thought by the mother of the victim, who found her son deceased on November 11, 2019, at her residence, when she returned home, according to the Bethel Police Department.
“On November 11, 2019, Bethel Police responded to Apollo Road after a resident returned home and found her son deceased, reporting that she believed he had committed suicide. Upon police arrival, it was determined that the death was a result of a homicide and a suspect was quickly identified,” Capt. Stephen M. Pugner said.
“The suspect was promptly located and determined to be in the custody of the New Milford Police Department as a result of crimes committed in their town earlier in the day.”
“The suspect remains in the custody of New Milford Police and charges related to the Bethel homicide are pending.”
No suspect or victim name has been released.
