Lock It or Lose It!
Bethel Police Department has recently responded to several motor vehicle break-ins of unlocked cars. While our officers are working diligently to identify the persons responsible, we are requesting your help with preventing any further incidents. So, how can you help?
- Never keep any valuables inside your car unless you’re in it.
- Hide or remove items such as phone chargers or smart accessories to prevent criminals from believing that your vehicle may contain an electronic device
- Remove loose change from visible compartments.
- And most importantly…lock your vehicles!
In the event that you believe your vehicle may have been disturbed or broken into, we ask that you please do not touch the vehicle and instead contact Bethel Police Dispatch immediately.
In addition, should anyone possess residential video surveillance footage, please report any suspicious activity you may observe.
