Bethel Police Dept. Message to the Community about ‘Social Distancing’ and Cancellations

Report by Paula Antolini, March 13, 2020, 3:41PM EDT

Bethel Police Department:

If you are in need of police services (such as filing a police report, or requesting police help for a non-emergency matter) we ask that you contact us by phone first on our non-emergency line, 203-744-7900. We are practicing social distancing in an attempt to protect the public and our employees from any potential exposure to illness. As always, if you have an emergency please call 911.

In addition in an effort to limit close quarter contact between our staff and residents during the COVID-19 threat, the Bethel Police Department is suspending all civilian (non-criminal) fingerprinting at this time. Our Child Safety Seat Installation service remains suspended as well. Regular services will resume as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

We will provide further updates on our services as information is obtained and evaluated.
