“At approximately 2:45 pm on May 10, 2020, Bethel Police dispatch received multiple 911 calls regarding a motor vehicle crash with injuries on Route 53 near the Danbury town line. Upon arrival, Officers located two involved vehicles with one trapped occupant in each. Both operators were freed from their vehicles by the combined effort of the Bethel Fire Department and Stony Hill Fire Department and both patients were transported to Danbury Hospital with significant injuries. The road was closed for approximately an hour for emergency operations.
