LETTER TO THE EDITOR / OPINION

Bethel resident and mom, Diane Mastracchio, sent The Bethel Advocate this letter that she wrote to Dr. Christine Carver, Superintendent of Bethel Public Schools, on January 7, 2021, in response to Carver’s letter sent to “Collegues” on January 7, 2021, that she wanted us to publish. View Carver’s letter below Mastracchio’s letter. (Also read more about Dr. Carver’s letter and responses to our questions HERE.)

Hi..,

I hope you know, that most parents in Bethel rant negatively about the President and one day dropping my daughter off to camp at The Middle School.., a child ranted, “Because Trump is our President!!” Meant to be negative.  They need to know to respect both and all sides.  They clearly do not adhere to your suggestions.  The fact that you mentioned “over the past couple of years,“ makes me think ?.  A good educator does not disclose their affiliations.  Also, I agree to keep the kids away from the media especially in times like this.
